HPV Vaccination; Scope and importance

What is HPV vaccination?
It is the injection given for protection against the culprit that causes cervical cancer in female and genital wart in male. HUMAN PAPILlOMA VIRUS. There are 2 vaccines available CERVARIX and GARDASIL.
What are the differences between the two?
From the above you would understand we have different strains of HPV and also you can see the ages required for each vaccine.
How many dose do I need to take and what is the duration between each?
Three doses of either of the two vaccines are needed at day 1, one moth later and 6 months later respectively.

If you have not been exposed to sex, yes get vaccinated, if otherwise, do a PAP smear and repeat every 3 years.
Do I need to do test before getting vaccinated?
At the required age, No. Outside the required age, get a PAP smear done or at least a serology test.
