The modern day Hebrew woman.
The Hebrew women were known to the Egyptians to have given birth by themselves without the help of a doctor or midwives, however, the real story says that the midwives deceived Pharaoh. They were actually present to conduct those deliveries. In our world today, many are self professed Hebrew women and most pregnant women would like to be one during labor. hence, a Hebrew woman is a woman who delivered safely without complications or with little intervention.
In this day and age, A Hebrew woman will be a strong woman who has ample correct information on pregnancy, labor and delivery because she reads and asks questions. She understands that she could make use of technological advancements in cases of difficult deliveries. She knows that indeed skilled midwives were present in those days too and so she will submit herself to only a skilled birth attendant when labor comes. She signs up for antenatal care immediately and as soon as she has been confirmed pregnant by blood test and ultrasound scan. She will not yield to people's advice about waiting for the 4th,5th,6th or 8th month before registering.
She takes all her prenatal vitamins and will not swallow any medication not prescribed. She studies her body and knows when something isn't right so she can present to the hospital first and not the pharmacy or laboratory. She keeps all her appointments. She listens to her doctor/midwife and follows all instructions for the well being of her and the child.
She allows nature to take its course on her mode of delivery, however if she has been told to be sectioned(CS) by her doctor at a particular time, all she does is pray for a successful outcome and not reject it. She does everything medically right to see her baby is well and alive.
A Hebrew woman has a sure hope of seeing her baby alive and healthy in the end, she does not participate in any practices that may put the life of her child in danger. The Hebrew woman knows the God of Israel has the final say on everything in this world, hence she won't stop praying to Him while obeying medical advice.
