Reasons Some Don't Get t Pregnant Early.
Under normal circumstances, ordinary casual sex may do, once or twice, to get a woman pregnant, but when the issue of infertility comes in, we then look more into probable inadequacy of one or two factors necessary for fertility.
In my course of working as a medical doctor, I have seen a woman looking forward to get pregnant yet taking oral contraceptives and this may be funny, but it's true, I have also seen a woman who has sex once a month (only when her husband comes home) and is also looking for a child.
A couple looking forward to conceiving must in all fact consider this list.
Adequate and Regular intercourse. Intercourse is said to be adequate if it occurs at least 2-3 times (different days) a week.
Unprotected intravaginal sex: there's no how pregnancy can occur in a protected sex, again the penis must really be inside the vagina and the act must be followed by the man depositing right inside the vagina.
Living under the same roof. You are more likely to have regular sex if you are under same roof with your partner. Living in different states or countries may be a negative factor in the journey of fertility.
Regular menstrual flow: monthly flow from a woman is a pointer to possibility of a healthy womb and ovaries. It may signify ovulation especially if the monthly flow is accompanied by slight lower abdominal pain.
NO intake of any drug that is against getting pregnant. No to contraception except in some cases where such medication is needed for hormonal regulations.
NO detrimental pre (use of lubricant) or post intercourse activity. Some people douch after sex this can interrupt the sperm migration.
Note this, On the average, 25% of couples conceive after 1 month of regular intercourse, 60% in 6 months, 75% in 9 months, 80% in 1 year and 90% in 18 months. This can also explain why some people get pregnant almost immediately after marriage and others may have to wait even under normal circumstances. Infertility becomes evident if there is no conception after 2 years of regular unprotected intravaginal intercourse.
The list above and the short note apply more to those wishing to achieve fertility through sexual intercourse. The World Health Organization is currently working on releasing a definition of infertility to accommodate those who wish to be a parent via other means excluding sexual intercourse and are unable to do so under reproductive health rights. Example of this means is invo or in-vitro fertilization.
In conclusion, some cases of infertility are purely due to unknown causes. Couples are encouraged to seek medical help early from trusted Gynaecologists.
