WHY DO SOME WOMEN DEVELOP CANCER OF THE CERVIX?
Wao! good day readers! how have you been? sure you are doing well.
Have you read the last post on salient truth about cervical cancer? if not, kindly do so. Thank you.
Hmm, I just finished reading about an Argentinian politician (Juan Peron) whose two wives died of cervical cancer at a very early age. I felt so bad for the women especially the second wife (Evita Peron) who was a promising young woman, charitable and loved by all. her life was a great blessing to others especially the poor. she died in her prime not even knowing what killed her....oh my God am so sad right now knowing that she died from the same disease that killed the man's first wife and unluckily for her, history had it that her mother also died of this same disease but at 77 yrs of age.
Do you know that it was after her death that medical advancement and researches concluded on the major cause of cervical cancer and also discovered the most potent screening method to be PAP smear?.
Hmm. Truly sad, you can read the story too, it's available on search engines.
This was the woman, she was beautiful with a caring heart.
Study the next picture carefully.
on this note, i will be listing risk factors for developing cervical cancer.
1. Early sexual debut. Exposure to sex early in life is a risk.
2. Having multiple sexual partners.
3. sleeping with someone who has multiple sexual partners.
4. Marrying someone whose previous wife died of cervical cancer
5. Family history of cervical cancer
6. Taking of alcohol.
Please note that the woman in our case study has the above risk factors.

Now, the most important risk factor for cervical cancer is EXPOSURE TO HUMAN PAPILOMA VIRUS and do you know that almost half of the listed factors can lead to its exposure and some of the listed factors will support the activity of this deadly virus.
Now, what will you and I do to reduce our risk for cervical cancer? what is the most important step you should take and advise others to do too?
we shall talk about those in the next post.
till then, I urge you to stay healthy.
BolaHealth cares.
