We have introduced the 5 pillars of a healthy family in the first post, and I have discussed having a vision and proper planning as the first pillar. How can our world be more healthy? How can we overcome outbreaks  of diseases? Where do we start from to ensure an individual is healthy and lives life to the fullest? It may seem to be difficult and a capital project, yes, but there's a place we can start from, The family.  What is family in its entirety?  The family is the smallest unit of the society, everyone belongs to one either by birth or adoption, either 'legally' or 'illegally'. Someone must have an origin, a generation, a root, a family. This special group comprises of those related by blood or marriage. It could be the nuclear type (just father, mother and children) or the extended type which may include every other person. Medically, a family can be related to a household, the group that eats from the same kitchen or pot. HOW YOU CAN ENJOY SWEET FOOD WITHOUT MUCH SALT

In 200level medical school, I had this room mate who was a good cook but her food seems saltless to my taste bud. Tolulope, now Dr Akinnimi Tolulope will cook nice food yet with as little salt and oil as possible. It was strange to me even though then I had a little knowledge of why I should reduce salt intake but I couldn't really comprehend the greatness of its importance.  Looking back now, with so much medical knowledge I have gained over 8 years ago, I must say that my room mate was wiser then. You see, one thing about habit changing is that it could look strange to you and others at first but when you keep at it, it becomes your character.
